Daniel Thompson is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Wilmington, Delaware. Using the experience gained over two decades, he caters to the wealth management needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families, including university professors and business owners. Backed by a local team of subject matter experts, Dan helps provide strategic guidance to clients with respect to investment management, trust and estate planning services, philanthropic objectives, and custom credit and lending solutions. To help ensure coordination of clients’ personal and professional needs, he strives to build effective relationships with their personal attorneys and accountants. Dan also draws on his extensive knowledge working with non-profits to provide organizations with sophisticated perspective and strategic guidance. He tailors his approach to match his clients’ unique financial priorities and connects them to the resources that can help with fundraising campaigns and customized investment programs designed to support their missions. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2016 with more than 25 years of experience, Dan worked as the director and Philadelphia regional manager for the wealth and investment management division of Barclays, where he executed strategies for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Over the course of his career, he has also held several senior client advisory and executive leadership roles at Morgan Stanley. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Hobart College. Dan currently serves on the board of trustees for The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation in Delaware. Previously, he was a board member for Breakthrough Collaborative, an educational non-profit, and was a member of the corporate council for the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. Dan and his wife, Alison, reside in Greenville, Delaware with their two daughters.
