Paul Yates is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to helping high-net-worth clients address the complexities of multi-generational family wealth, he draws on his knowledge of non-profit organizations to offer strategic guidance to help colleges and universities manage their endowments and pursue their missions.
Backed by a dedicated team of subject matter experts, Paul offers strategies across multiple disciplines, including wealth management, trust and estate planning services, investment management and philanthropic guidance. He also welcomes the opportunity to assist with sophisticated credit and lending strategies from unsecured lending and commercial real estate to the acquisitions of yachts, private aircraft, fine art and collectables.
Paul has been with Bank of America since beginning his career in 2009. During his tenure, he has held a variety of roles including teller, personal relationship manager, small business specialist, and small business relationship manager. He joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2015. Paul's been a top producer multiple years and published in Insider Magazine for his work in the the industry. Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and investment management from the University of North Florida.
Paul sat on the boards of The NSU Art Museum of Fort Lauderdale and the One East Society. He is a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale and the Greater Miami Chambers of Commerce and is involved with the United Way of Broward County, Mission United, the FLITE Center, the International Yacht Brokers Association, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Broward, and the United States Super Yacht Association. Paul is also a graduate of Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class XXIV.
Paul and his wife, Jillyan, reside in Plantation with their two children. He is a proud recipient of the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout award. He's an entrepreneur and currently owns a private exclusive golf club along with being an avid golfer, boater, fisherman and scuba diver.
