Neil Brown is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Neil works closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to address their distinctive investment and wealth management needs. He has extensive experience supporting clients who are undergoing personal or professional transitions, such as divorce or sale of a business, working in concert with their external legal and tax advisors, as appropriate. Drawing on more than three decades of direct experience, Neil offers the knowledge, insight, and understanding that can help clients anticipate the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities that significant wealth can entail.
Neil leads a team of specialists who work in concert to uncover possible efficiencies in multiple areas: investment management, trust and estate planning, lending, family office services, business succession planning, and philanthropy. He is adept in evaluating the financial implications of divorce-settlement proposals, providing an integrated analysis of a client’s current and future wealth, relative to his or her particular circumstances.
Prior to joining the Private Bank, Neil worked for more than 30 years at BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Philadelphia, where he served as a Senior Wealth Director. He earned his B.A. in business administration from Ursinus College and his M.B.A. in finance from Temple University.
Neil speaks regularly to family-law-practice groups throughout the region on wealth planning for divorce and has consulted to the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and to attorneys from the Family Law section of the American Bar Association.* He is a former board of the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association and the Advancement Committee at Gwynedd Mercy High School.
